“Autumn? And, who’s this?” An auburn-furred Gaoler emerges from a nearby den, sleep filling his voice. “I don’t believe we’ve met.”

“Sunstone, meet the newest of Diadem’s rescues. They’re looking for a task to fulfill, so Cirrus has taken to showing them around. Recruit, this is Sunstone, my mate and teaching assistant.”

“Pleasure to meet you, I look forward to getting to know you in the future. Perhaps you’ll join me on an expedition sometime.”

“Expedition?” You look between them, confused.

“It’s what he calls mercenary missions. Many times, its a chance to raid Beastclan bases and bring back essential items for the clan.

“Ah, I get it now.” I don’t really get it.

Cirrus begins to tug your arm, “Well, as much as I’d like to continue this conversation, we still have a few more stops to make, if you’ll excuse us, we’ll be on our way.”

“No worries, good luck finding your place here.” Sunstone turned back to his den, while Autumn’s growl made her students snap to attention once more.
