PYTHIA IS THE W.I.N.G.S. PLAGUE AMBASSADOR AT THE SANCTUARY'S SOUTHERN OUTPOST IN THE STARWOOD STRAND. AS BOTH AN ORACLE AND GUARDIAN, HER POSITION ENTAILS A WIDE RANGE OF DUTIES. SHE'S DISTANT AND TENDS TO AVOID INTERACTIONS UNLESS THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. IF IT DOES BECOME NECESSARY THOUGH, HER WRATH IS MERCILESS AND HER ATTACKS VICIOUS. WHILE UNRULY HATCHLINGS MAY THINK THEY'VE SEEN HER IRE AT ITS PEAK, PYTHIA HOLDS BACK QUITE A BIT WHEN AROUND THE YOUNG ONES. SHE WORKS HARD TO ENSURE ALL THAT COME TO THE SANCTUARY WILL HAVE A BETTER CHILDHOOD THAN SHE WAS FORCED TO ENDURE. PYTHIA USES HER SIGHT TO GUIDE HER TO ABANDONED HATCHLINGS AND OTHER LOST BANESCALES SO SHE CAN BRING THEM BACK TO THE W.I.N.G.S. SANCTUARY.

PYTHIA BEGAN TO HAVE VISIONS WHILE SHE WAS STILL IN HER EGG. FAR FROM THE TWO REGIONS IN WHICH THE GREAT WAR WAS FOUGHT, SHE FOUND HERSELF ALONE WHEN SHE HATCHED IN THE SCARRED WASTELAND. EITHER FROM BLESSING OR CURSE FROM THE PLAGUEBRINGER, SHE POSSESSES THE RARE TRAIT OF MULTIGAZE. THIS SIGHT ALLOWS HER TO LOOK INTO THAT WHICH HAS ALREADY HAPPENED AND THAT WHICH MAY YET COME. HER POWERS, HOWEVER, ARE NOT ABSOLUTE. THE FUTURE IS FICKLE AND CAN ALWAYS CHANGE – A LESSON SHE LEARNED PAINFULLY. GIVEN THAT WHAT SHE SEES IS ONLY THE MOST LIKELY OUTCOME, SHE PREFERS TO STAY QUIET AND INSTEAD OBSERVE AS THE PRESENT UNFOLDS.
