Biography
For generations, her kin have striven to attain manifold sight. Aster was one of the many born before this goal was reached.
In the tradition of her clan, she devoted herself to gaining knowledge for a time. Her capacities were merely average, and it was not what she wanted to do with her entire life.
On a visit to Tanglevine, she found herself hungry, but the smaller dragons selling convenience food could not produce enough quickly enough to sell her a pleasant lunch. However, they were willing to let her use their tools to prepare something if she brought it. That day she learned enough about cooking that she decided to invest in setting up a stall of her own in the town, to cook up full meals for the larger dragons that passed through.
Now she has a thriving business with its own building and smaller employees to help maintain her equipment while she works. Because she can make food quickly at large scales, it's very cheap for smaller dragons. It's not especially refined or beautiful cuisine, but it's always tasty.
For ease of eating, her foods tend to come on skewers or in paper wrappers, or in forms that can simply be taken in the hand without much mess. For an extra charge she can wrap nearly any ingredients in a container of leaves, pie crust, sliced cured meat, or a whole fish. (Insect-based wrappings are still in the works, but fae aren't her main customers.)
She always has one skewer type for each food group: wartoad for meat-eaters, mantis for insect-eaters, pith for plant-eaters and starfish for seafood-eaters. These are items that can be found in the kind of quantities she needs. Usually she will have a steamed version and a fried version of each. Other local foods she frequently has include locally sourced boar, beetles, mushrooms and hippocampus, while imported specialty foods include whale, roc, giant darner and giant bamboo.
She's a very small guardian. There are some gaolers bigger than she is.
