Biography
The icy wind rips around the snow banks, almost burning in how cold it feels. The land is frozen to the very core. The wind stills for a moment and suddenly a large crack startles the world. A spiral dragon claws its way out of the ice, scratching yet somehow completely silent.
Her name is Stella, and she’s quite lost. She turns her head this way and that, yet finds nothing of familiarity. Snowflakes fall from her eyes and she blinks in confusion. She’d just layed down for a moment, too cold to move at the time. But now, though she should be unable to move in the burning coldness of the tundra, she feels nothing.
She stumbles a little, her feet and wings frozen. She stretches out and lets out a mighty roar. The winds pick up again and almost instantly a blizzard forms. She pauses in shock.
‘Did… Did I cause this?’ She thinks but shakes the thought off almost as soon as it enters her mind. She shakes, not from cold, from something closer to fear. She quickly flaps her wings and takes to the air. The wind tosses her around a bit, but eventually she makes it out of the storm and finds herself next to the ocean. She looks at her reflection and lets out a yelp.
She’s not the same dragon she was when she layed down. This new dragon looks like some sort of ice being. She almost cries but more snowflakes fall from her eyes and she realizes with a start that she can no longer cry.
She blinks hard as memories start coming back to her. Traveling to the cold lands she was from, searching for something to tell her more about herself, collapsing in the cold, the ice forming around her, years spent frozen. Another thought hits her like a meteor shower: What exactly woke her up?
A grumble from her stomach has her sighing. She looks around, hoping to find something to eat when in the distance she sees smoke. A campfire. Other dragons! Maybe they’ll be friendly!
She glides through the air to the fire. There’s a clan of dragons huddled around what almost looks like a labyrinth of ice. Some even have eyes like her. She lands buy the fire and flinches away from the heat.
“Are you ok?” An Imperial dragon with eyes overflowing with snowflakes asks her, “The heat can be a bit much with the way our bodies work. The imperial smiles and leads Stella to an igloo that has food in it.
“Thank you!” Stella eats quickly then remembering her manors smiles back, “I’m Stella.”
“Cassandra.” The imperial grinns.
