HATCHED PRIMAL
Bought from dayliqht for 3.1 kg. Welp, I have a Primal G1 now. I will never spend so much money on a G1 again. If I can help it. Which I can. After this babba goes on a scatter journey and becomes bootiful. He’s named after the titan assigned by Zeus to hold up the heavens. I love him more than words can say. Owning him wouldn’t be possible without my Skarlette’s involvement! Thank you so much for helping me look for a kiddie AND giving me some scatter scrolls towards his journey :'3

Recurring Dream wrote:
The sky was heavy as it rested on Atlas' chest, bearing the weight of its clouds on his skin. The humid merge of rain and sun had left him neither dry or wet, but rather a mixture of the two. Sometimes, the atmosphere would give way and let him breathe in before he was back to holding up the world. He shouldn't have been here. It was someone else's job, but he couldn't remember for the life of him who's job it was. So, he was condemned to his solitude in the sky. A question murmured in the back of his head, but it felt like he was clawing through thick custard to find it.

The silence was deafening, and it was sending him mad. He needed to concentrate on something else, anything else. As the stillness became the norm, questions danced through his consciousness again. Not just one question, but many, all bouncing against the inside of his head in a chorus. He wanted to scream, he wanted to move, but he could do nothing. He forced himself closer to his thoughts, causing agony with each second. Who was he? WHERE was he? He didn't understand why he hadn't thought of these questions before, but they pooled in his brain now like slowly melting ice.

It was during these thoughts that he began to fall. Slowly at first, but then he picked up speed and began to catapult towards the ground. The ground? The ground was new. He hadn’t recognised it from before, but it was getting closer and closer. He wished he could move his claws to create some kind of a drag which would stop his decline. He'd do anything to stop it, to keep the sky up like he was doing before. He'd give up his freedom, his ability to think, anything, He just didn't want to die. Not now. Not in this way. His heart thundered in his chest like a stampede of rhinos, fear churning his body to bits. His adrenaline screamed with him as he hurtled downwards.

BANG!

Atlas jolted awake, sweat-covered chest forcing him into a rigid breathing pattern as he struggled to for air. Gradually, control of his claws came back to him, and he forced them around himself for some kind of warmth. It was a nightmare, he reminded himself, just like every other night previously. It still felt so real though, the feeling of being paralysed in free fall felt so real. His body believed it anyway, shivering and shaking uncontrollably. After a while, he calmed himself down and forced himself onto his claws to carry out his duties in the clan.

~LATER~

The day had been a long one, and Atlas' nightmares were the cause. They had weighed heavily on his mind the entire day, preventing him from being too social with his coworkers. Many had commented on the darkness of bags under his eyes, and suggested he see a counsellor. Atlas shrugged them off with a tired and well-meaning 'I'm fine', and that was that. When his shift ended, he went on his way home.

As Atlas settled snugly in his bed and listened to the night chorus, he wondered if he should see someone about the nightmares. After all, recurring dreams had to mean something, right? He turned onto his side. He'd sort this out tomorrow morning. He closed his eyes to go to sleep again, and
the sky became heavy. It rested on his chest, bearing the weight of its clouds on his skin. The humid merge of rain and sun had left him neither dry or wet but a mixture of the two. Sometimes, the atmosphere would give way and let him breathe in before he was back to holding up the world.

7UhB8gZ.jpg?1.jpg In Greek mythology, Atlas (/ˈætləs/; Greek: Ἄτλας, Átlas) was a titan condemned to hold up the celestial heavens for eternity after the Titanomachy. Atlas also plays a role in the myths of two of the greatest Greek heroes: Heracles (the Roman equivalent being Hercules) and Perseus. According to the ancient Greek poet Hesiod, Atlas stood at the ends of the earth in extreme west. Later, he became commonly identified with the Atlas Mountains in northwest Africa and was said to be the first King of Mauretania. Atlas was said to have been skilled in philosophy, mathematics, and astronomy. In antiquity, he was credited with inventing the first celestial sphere. In some texts, he is even credited with the invention of astronomy itself.

Atlas was the son of the Titan Iapetus and the Oceanid Asia or Clymene. He had many children, mostly daughters, the Hesperides, the Hyades, the Pleiades, and the nymph Calypso who lived on the island Ogygia. The term 'Atlas' has been used to describe a collection of maps since the 16th century when Flemish geographer Gerardus Mercator published his work in honor of the mythological Titan. The "Atlantic Ocean" is derived from "Sea of Atlas". In Ancient Greek, Plato's Timaeus dialogue also mentions "Ἀτλαντὶς νῆσος" (English:"Atlantis nisos") meaning "Atlas's Island", giving rise to the English derivative: Atlantis (Atlantean / of Atlas).

PUNISHMENT
Atlas and his brother Menoetius sided with the Titans in their war against the Olympians, the Titanomachy. When the Titans were defeated, many of them (including Menoetius) were confined to Tartarus, but Zeus condemned Atlas to stand at the western edge of Gaia (the Earth) and hold up the sky on his shoulders. Thus, he was Atlas Telamon, "enduring Atlas," and became a doublet of Coeus, the embodiment of the celestial axis around which the heavens revolve.
A common misconception today is that Atlas was forced to hold the Earth on his shoulders, but Classical art shows Atlas holding the celestial spheres, not the terrestrial globe; the solidity of the marble globe borne by the renowned Farnese Atlas may have aided the conflation, reinforced in the 16th century by the developing usage of atlas to describe a corpus of terrestrial maps.
