Biography

“The honor would be mine,” Aega said, smiling. “No better dragon to teach them of the IceShard Flock’s origins than the dragon who founded it.”

Aega Mýri | Teaches the hatchlings to hunt
| Klakifjall Clan | Borgarar | Vinnadreki |

For good nurture and education implant good constitutions. - Plato

Aega is calm, patient and good with hatchlings—in fact, she has raised many of her own, all of whom were sired by her beloved mate Jackny. Well into her years, she has the wisdom to prove it, but still retains the energy of a younger dragon.

Aega is a hard worker, always striving to teach the dragonets (her students) all she knows about hunting, foraging, and camouflaging themselves in the mountains.

While she's friendly, Aega isn't overly sociable and tends to be more of an introvert. Outside of the hatchlings, she prefers being alone in nature or with her plants.

"Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not;" - Luke 12:27-28

Description

Aega is a small Coatl with calloused paws and a large smile. Her eyes are bluish-green, often twinkling with a wisdom that she shrouds in layers of false naivety and innocent jokes. Her hide camouflages perfectly among thick trees and swamps, her shimmering wings reflecting her surroundings like the undisturbed waters of a marsh. She is bespectacled, thick oak-wood frames balanced precariously on her short snout.

Job Description

Aega is a busy dragon. It is her duty to teach the hatchlings to hunt once they leave Conifer's or their parents' care. She teaches them natural camouflage, safety, and how to follow animal tracks. She sometimes travels with Jackny, scouting out the territory surrounding their home to decide whether it's suitable for them to expand into.

Den

Aega's den is roomy and warm. She has transformed the cave into a humid greenhouse. There are boxes of flowers all over the place, and in the midst of this makeshift jungle is a nest of soft grasses that she and Jackny share.

Relationships

5971910p.png
Aega loves Jackny more than any other dragon. She is his strong Mountain Flower, keeping him warm at night and giving him meals when he comes back from his travels. Their relationship is a strong but quiet one, composed mainly of gentle snuggles and loving glances. He brings her a flower every time he comes home, which she adds to her ever-growing collection.

Aega gets along well with Conifer, who raises the dragonets from hatchling-hood before sending them to the Coatl to be trained. They often meet for soft-spoken chats and a spot of tea, as well as the occasional game of cards when one of them remembers to bring a full deck. They spend a lot of time together, drinking tea and talking about flowers, hatchlings, and events of the clan. They both like to stay far away from the battlefield but Conifer, constantly in the loop due to connections with her past mate, always seems to know what's going on. This makes for some interesting conversation.

Hippocampus

Aega's Hippocampus mare, Alogo, is a playful creature that resides in one of the few unfrozen lakes within Northern Tundrheim. She's a mischievous thing but loves Aega, who visits the land-bound Familiar often.

Compliments

@Abadago: Goodness! I love how her apparel matches her wings! It's a fantastic mix that complements her base color as well. Honestly she looks like the type of dragon you'd see living by a murky lake.
