I should not have taken a boat to the Shifting Expanse. Finding my sea legs sure isn't my trade, but seasickness seems to be. I'm sure there's something of significance here, but I'm not interested in finding it when I'm this nauseous.


I recovered from my ordeal at the Sunbeam Lanternhouse. Kukulcan let me choose a room and convalesce in peace, ordering Haruna to bring me bland food to help settle my stomach. She informed me that this was no small sacrifice on her part. Apparently, she's a big fan of bold flavors, particularly mint.

Anyway, under her care, I got well again and was able to mingle with the other residents and travelers. In the evenings, I listened to stories from Julianna. She's fantastic, she really knows how to make her stories come alive!

I wish I had any of her talents...

I've asked to travel with her, maybe learn a thing or two, and I'm so excited that she's accepted!


My first day of traveling with Juliana has been so fun! She told me more of her stories of battle, but today she got into yet another battle, while I cowered behind a rock. We were saved by a seemingly mute, dragon from a near clan.

The dragon who I came to find was from a clan called Uzumaki. The dragon brought us back to her camp. Where we were given refuge for a few days while Juliana recovered. I didn't see what happened to the other dragon that attacked us but Juliana said that it ran away. The leader of the Uzumaki clan told us that the dragon that saved us is named Whisper.

We didn't get to say goodbye as she rested in a lonesome tree among the plague wasteland watching every little moment with her Rose-Quartz-colored eyes. We also some how had two babies on accident. They’re my first children, but sadly I couldn’t bring them along. We left after a few days to a new location, I just followed Juliana's lead.


There’s an awful lot going on in this clan. Most of the permanent members seem to be warriors of some kind or other, and temporary youths cycle in and out frequently, following Tailas or Rose out past the clan boundary to participate in all kinds of scraps and skirmishes with the local Beastclans. They’re often the rather rough sort, few of them interested in my storytelling — though they do seem rather more receptive when Juliana starts to speak, which I admit is awfully frustrating. I suppose she has an awful lot more experience than me, and probably more interesting tales than me, still. She’s a warrior too, so they look up to her.
Nobody here seems to like me much. They make fun of my pastel pink-dyed fur and the blossoms I weave into my mane… it’s not very nice of them at all. And of course Julianna won’t do anything about it herself, or even have a word with the clan leader for me.
I’m a bit worried she thinks that I’m silly, too.
