From a very young age, Haruna loved to try different greens: she was an adventurous eater from the moment she hatched. And, in fact, she didn't limit herself to a typical Tundra diet - in a clan with many dragon species sharing the same space, she was exposed to and tried both insects and meat. Seafood, however, was the one food category which she would not touch: she insisted it smelled "oily".

Her Tundra heritage won out in the end, however: greens with distinctive flavors became her favorite, most particularly mint. She also came to favor amaranth. Strawberries were her cherished dessert.

It came as no surprise to anyone in the clan when she insisted on becoming the clan chef: her obvious love of food and her joy in sharing it with others made her a natural fit for the role. They were slightly less pleased with her (not-so-subtle) attempts to sneak mint, and sometimes amaranth, into every dish she served. 		Haruna, smiling delightedly, sitting in an old-fashioned malt glass with a handle. The glass is filled with a strawberry shake, with vanilla foam overflowing it. Behind Haruna is a dollop of whipped cream and a red ribbon tied in a bow.
Most of the clan, however, accepted the quirk, and graciously received her dishes - though, if the mint was a garnish, or some other decorative touch, they often discreetly removed it when her back was turned.
The exception to this good-natured cooperation was Eirwen. Affronted by Haruna's rejection of fish, and irritated by the Tundra's love of fancy dishes, Eirwen outright refuses every meal offered to her by the clan chef.

Haruna, affronted and irritated in her turn, has taken to sneaking strong-smelling herbs into Eirwen's lair.
