 •   T H O R N Thorn has quieted down tremendously in his golden years. He is more willing to sit back and quietly guide than he used to be, rather than jumping in and demanding perfection. He also hasn't gotten arrested again since joining the Kikai. In fact, he spends most of his time trying to keep others from ending up in prison and usually it's his daughter. Thorn is also a huge softie when it comes to his family. Any opportunity to gush about his Farukon he'll take and won't stop until you appreciate her as much as he does. His only downfall is his passive-aggressive nature. If you make him angry (which in reality isn't hard) he won't openly admit it. Instead, he'll wait and watch while you "accidentally" get a rock dropped on your head. 
Thorn's childhood did not begin in the Observatory or anywhere near the Arcane territory. He was born in the Gladeveins and that is all he knows. When he hatched, his parents were long gone, along with most of his village. Looking back on it as an adult, he realized there had been a raid of some sort but to a young hatchling, his parents were simply gone. And that was enough. Having no other plan, Thorn remained in the remnants of his village until he grew old and bold enough to venture out of it. He wandered aimlessly through the Earth Realm and then into the Shadow Realm, then the Light, and so on. In each faction he visited, he learned all about the various beliefs and listened to each story. They are what fueled his journey. That and the occasional drink of Realm-specific liquor. He learned just how much Water dragons hate being asked if water is actually wet and that Ice dragons to not like it when you try to "melt" them with a stolen torch. He ended up being imprisoned for stealing alcohol or public intoxication in almost all of the eleven factions and being banned from three. Even his familiar, Fukurō (owl) was a prize from a card game at a Shadow Tavern. After being booted from the Ice Realm, Thorn heard whispers about a new clan in the Starfall Isles that worshipped a completely different council of dieties along with their patron. He traveled there and, after almost being blown up by a magic trap, met with Primis. Primis was wary of him at first since at this time the Clan was very new. However, he was impressed by the young Gaoler dragon's knowledge of the other factions and their mythologies that he decided to offer him the position as official archivist. Thorn gladly accepted.
