Dexterous Talent


It took Vanessa quite some time to figure out what she wanted to spend her life doing. Her brother Cyclamen seemed to have it all together with his gardening & landscaping mentorship in the Viridian Labyrinth, and Vanessa felt a bit like she was falling behind. It wasn't until Pitot returned from one of his mapping expeditions in the Windswept Plateau, bringing with him a Wind dragoness visitor & several examples of her clan's artwork & other artisan goods, that she began to realize an enthusiasm for painting.

After some extensive discussions with the Wind visitor about her home's culture, Vanessa chose to return with her to her clan to learn more about artistry in-person. During the first few years of her stay, Vanessa attended courses in numerous styles of painting, settling on oils as her favorite. After mastering her craft, several years after her arrival, Vanessa made the rather difficult decision to return to the Shifting Expanse. With a rather hesitant goodbye with her now lifelong friend, Vanessa moved back to the clan of her hatching to share with them her newfound talents, as well as more of the Wind dragons' culture. Vanessa & her friend still keep in close contact, though it's usually the Wind dragoness coming to visit rather than Vanessa going West; Bogsneaks aren't particularly known for their mobility.
