Feared by many, Arachne is a monstrous creature that consumes the soul energy of sleeping dragons through their dreams. She appears to them in the form of nightmares, wearing the guise of an elegant lady. Arachne appears enchanting and fair, wrapped in the purest of silk and donning a thin veil to cloak her face. Beware: locking eyes with her will have you trapped under her spell. She methodically catches prey in her invisible web, slowly eating away at their spirits with spiders as her vessels. Similar to true spiders, her victims are left behind as empty husks. To an untrained eye, they would appear as dying a natural death. Seeing as all she does is eat and sleep, it’s no surprise Arachne is so effective at masking her trail.
In the realm of nightmares, Arachne’s voice is soft and sweet. She beckons the dreamer to ‘come closer’ with a quiet hiss to her tone. Her natural voice is crooked and haunting, each whisper a cackle of twisted glee.
Arachne tends to intertwine truth and lies, making it difficult to read when she is being authentic with her words. She carries spiders within her self-woven web silks and the cobwebs wrapped around her body. They serve as her eyes and ears, venturing the night to find her next target. No one really wants to know where else the spiders like to hide when they aren't out scouting prey for her.
