EIRA

Name means “snow” in Welsh.

ABOUT

Deep in the wilds, close to the running brooks, streams, and rivers that swarm with fireflies, a species of dragons dwell. There, in the damp shadows, the Forest and River Dragons (FaR) learn how to channel the special powers of the water within. Running water is healing, rejuvenating, and cleansing. Since these dragons are born into it, they’re among the luckiest of all kinds.

They are known to store river water in their bellies, beginning with the water from the river they were born in. As they grow older, they may store more and more of it, from different locales. No one knows if it’s the water or the special dragon, but the water within them has magical healing and luck properties.

Having one of these dragons in your clan is said to foretell prosperity — for as long as the rivers course through the Viridian Labyrinth.

WINTER BREEZE

The Winter Breeze dragons are born during the coldest months of the year, waking from their hibernation when a veil of frost drapes over the landscape. They help ease the flora into a peaceful sleep until Spring with methodical rumbles and hums.

The chilled water in their bellies is gathered primarily from frozen lakes, rivers and ponds - taking sips through the open cracks and holes in the ice. If no water sources are available, Winter Breeze dragons will eat snow to replenish their reservoir.

They are willing to share their chilled water for those lost in the tundra, keeping them hydrated. Their body naturally filters out any possible harmful bacteria before it reaches their pool. It is pure, clean and a precious resource in a scarce time of the year.
