Biography
Name meaning: Carys is a Welsh name, formed from the stem of the Welsh vocabulary word caru, "to love" (cf. third person câr "beloved friend" or "precious"), and the suffix -ys.
When Elidyr and Itziar had a nest, Elidyr got suspicious and put protective runes on the eggs, tying them to the Glade, AkumuNingyo's lair, and to Haven, just in case one got out of bounds of the lair.
Up to her usual tricks, Almediha decided to cause havoc by dropping Carys' egg in the ocean. The spell worked on Bahadur's egg, and technically worked on Rynka and Carys as well, just not as well.

If perhaps he wasn't the ONLY Beastclan ally sent to the clan.
The fact that Almediha would do this around the time of the harpy invasion really says something about the nature of her character. Talk about striking a clan while it's already down. The most information the Glade had at this point was the warning of imminent demise from Gobi's nightmare, but still. Definitely enough to make someone like Zinfandel suspicious, given what he knew.
Meanwhile, Arseni's just like "thank the deities this child was protected and managed to make it this far, I must write back to express that he is in safe hands and perhaps inform them to put up specific wards against a particular menace who is a threat to the children"

An egg smelling of fresh soil and sparkling with an odd light washes ashore, and an instant later it cracks entirely open, revealing a vibrant Coatl. But this Coatl has markings... This was an egg from a nest. While now barely visible, strange marks can be made out on the surface of the egg giving off a gentle, protective glow, as if someone had felt the need to cast protective spells over it. But who would harm an egg? Within the crumbled dirt that made up the egg, a piece of sparkling fur is found... Fur that is VERY familiar to several members of the clan. |

While Rosette gently plays with the child, Arseni inspects the landing site with a careful eye. No note this time, but there is no doubt this arrival was... deliberate.
"Rosette," Arseni says softly to draw her attention, his voice suddenly dropping to a concerned level as he stares into the dirt, "I feel strongly compelled to protect this child for his own good." Always up for the challenge of raising another child, Rosette hums in agreement. "I'm sure his mama and papa will love to hear from you, dear~" She chuckles and continues to coo at the tiny Coatl while Arseni scurries off, muttering something about dissertation effectiveness. |
