 BIOGRAPHY XXXShilanomia was born and raised in the Viridian Labyrinth and has not left its border her entire life. She was raised in a clan with a close association to Nature and the circle of life and death. She learned how to prepare bodies for death from the other members of her birth clan, and she uses those skills now in her new home with the Calyx Coven as the Coven's only mortician. Though some may say Shila's job is quite morbid, she chooses to see the beauty of what she does. She helps put dragons to peace and helps those they left behind to grieve their loss. XXXKopaidyn is Shila's mate. The two met when Shila first ventured into the Coven's territory. She had left her birth clan to make a life of her own and was looking for a place to live. Her arrival was quite fortuitous, for the Coven's mortician had recently passed away, and the Coven was looking for a new dragon to take his place. Shila jumped at the chance to become the Coven's new mortician. A few months after the two Tundras got to know one another, Shila asked Kopi if he'd be interested in being her mate, as the male Tundra was too shy to make the first move. XXXWhen a dragon from the Calyx Coven passes away, Shila prepares the body and gets it ready for cremation. In the Coven, all members are cremated on a large pyre near the Shrine, where all Coven members are welcome to come and pay their last respects to the deceased. Most of the ashes are given to the deceased's loved ones that are still living, while the rest are kept in a vault underground that houses some of the ashes of all of the previous members of the Coven, dating back to the Coven's founder, Antigonos. XXXHum is Shila's Goliath Mountain Beetle Familiar. The two have been good friends since Shila's hatch day, as the Beetle was friends with her mother. In the beginning, Hum was much larger than Shila, but she dwarfed him as she grew to full size. As time has gone on though, Hum has also grown in size and now has a wingspan of 5 meters. He helps Shila with her mortician duties, as some of the bigger dragons can be more difficult for her to move by herself. |
