To strangers, Laurel certainly looks forbidding. Her strong jaw and perpetual squint make her seem as though she is too good for others. And then they try her food.
Fizzy, popping, and strangely sweet and sour, Laurel loves experimenting to create different sensations while eating. Her food isn't for everyone, but those who want something new and different know they can go to Laurel's kitchen and experience something they never dreamed of.
Her passion is in molecular gastronomy, and she uses food-safe chemicals to create pates, gels, foams, and bubbles filled with flavor and inventiveness. But in a pinch, she still makes a killer plate of cookies.
In her spare time, Laurel is an amateur stargazer, spending hours on the mesas of Dragonhome, observing the night sky with her mate, Patina.
