Now eerily resigned to her fate, Hel cannot remember a time before she was covered in infection. Early in her life on the far end of the plaguelands, she was labeled a spawn and considered all but banished from dragonkind at large, least she spread her various diseases. Over time, She learned callousness and eventually grew to despise the very society that had isolated her, demonstrated by her lack of emotion or response to any social interaction.

Hel knew no love or even contact for a long time until she wandered further into the Wormwood and discovered the ways of other Plague dragons, a few of whom revered her for her condition, claiming that to spread her contagion and prove her worth and others' strength must be the Plaguebringer's plan for her life. With this in mind, she became more comfortable with her lot, vowing to value her sickness as a means of furthering her deity's desires. She is a virulent vassal, spreading misery at Plaguebringer's will.
