Clan doctor, hobbyist poet and bird enthusiast

Ever since Samhayn’s corruption, strange things started happening in the clan’s domain. Wildlife has been changing, with hatchlings and young showing signs of genetic mutations when born. Some of them live a normal life with their conspecifics despite their abnormalities, but some gain a consciousness and intelligence that goes beyond that of a normal animal. These children cannot stay with their parents. They are lost between two worlds, not an animal anymore, but not a dragon yet.

Jabberwocky and her mate Gawain have made it their duty to find and shelter these children. For days on end, they travel the territory under Samhayn’s influence and gather those that have had their very nature reshaped. The two dragons work together to aid them, rehabilitate them, and find them a new home if that is what they wish.

But not only those touched and changed by corruption find a place in Jabberwocky’s heart. She is the clan’s doctor, and tends to the sick and injured with never ending calm and compassion. Due to this, she is beloved and liked among her clan mates, even though most only shake their heads about her taste in art and especially poetry. Writing verses, poems, and even ballads is one of Jabberwocky’s many passions. However, most of her writing turns out surreal and impenetrable. Those that are willing to listen to her readings often leave with not only confusion, but also severe headaches that Jabberwocky has to tend to the next day. People are so used to her poetry being incomprehensible that they do not even notice when Jabberwocky recites her verses in her own made-up language. Only Gawain can understand this gibberish that Jabberwocky claims to be a language of its own.

Besides helping, healing, and poetry, Jabberwocky finds much joy in bird watching. In fact, her obsession with the feathery folk has often led to her being late for appointments and jobs. Whenever she finds a bird in need, she will lend aid, be it in the form of food or healing. She carries eggshells, feathers and even bones close to her heart, as reminders of the birds she encountered… and sometimes could not save. When looking for Jabberwocky, one has only to follow the trail of birdseed she leaves behind when she walks, feeding the aerial friends left and right. Not even her cackling laugh seems to scare them away, and one can easily encounter her with birds sitting on shoulder and head.

A fine trail of birdseed follows this skydancer closely at all times, a side effect of her insistence that she and Gawain feed every aerial creature that they cross paths with. Jabberwocky has even been known to be late to jobs in pursuing particularly interesting or rare birds she finds on her way to her partner. Among her satchels of birdseed also sits other bird-paraphernalia: bits of eggshell, feathers, and even occasionally bones (you can't save them all, she figures).
