Taiyo

Name meaning: Taiyō is the romanization for some Japanese words, such as 太陽 for sun and 大洋 for ocean. It is also a variety of sunflower.

A whistle cuts through the air as a Guardian hatchling is hurled out of the sky. Her parachute, when it opens, is gold instead of green. Attached is a note that says "This little one came to us and asked if we could send her to you." It's signed Xenia, who has included a postscript that says "I am NOT a catapult engineer but apparently I am the only responsible adult who believes in parachutes right now."

Arseni sends a note back that reads "You are doing the deities' work - a million times thank you for your efforts."


Taiyo was born in the Beacon of the Radiant Eye, then traveled to the Shrieking Wilds to see her grandparents and request guidance to the Zephyr Steppes. She was the youngest and the smallest out of her siblings, but that didn't stop her from dreaming of big things.



She made this trip around the time when Gobi had his nightmare and the plan was for the weak, wounded, and young dragons in the Glade to start getting moved out to a new lair in the Behemoth. So, Xenia deciding to take the wheel and parachute her to Haven was both efficient in time management and an extra precaution to ensure that the child would be in a safe location as soon as possible.
