Narcissus

Narcissus, a vain and proud young man who grew up in the lap of luxury. Praised for his looks and talent, it was hard for him not to live up to his namesake, at the cost of being generally unlikable. While having the ability to turn up the charm when it befits him, more often than not he at times comes across as aloof and cold when not motivated to perform. In spite of his aloofness, he has a soft spot for poetry and starry nights, and of course his boyfriend, Voidseer.
He was the son of a former warrior turned scholar and an absentee royal mother. Neither were very interested in being parents to Narcissus and their relationship was solely for political reasons and left Narcissus to be raised by his various tutors and servants. By some stroke luck, whether good or bad luck is still being determined, he had been given the gift of prophecy and phenomenal natural magic powers by the Goddess of Shadows. The evidence for these powers manifested in the form of dark purple eyes twisting along his body. The absence of his parents and the manifestation of his unchecked powers coalesced into him making a prime target to be indoctrinated into the Cult of The Cleansing Sun by the tutors he was closest to.
His time spent as an acolyte of the cult helped guide him towards honing his prophetic sight, going from merely vague premonitions to clairvoyance for all things pertaining to what is beautiful. Which proved most beneficial for the cult as they believed the return of their God would with him a blinding radiance that would purify the lands. But Narcissus' visions never out to productive for the Cult and he ended up cutting ties with the Cult to pursue a partnership with Voidseer.
