His biggest flaw is his pride. He often overestimates his own abilities, and can sometimes come across as conceited. This, coupled with his massive reserves of energy and gusto for life, can sometimes plant him securely on one's bad side. He's been called annoying a time or two, and it just seems to roll off him, water off a duck.
These qualities are well-balanced by a genuinely kind heart, and selfless manner. He strives for the betterment of the college and to help others, and just wants to put his talents to good use. He has a short attention span, but it shouldn't be mistaken for a lack of focus or work ethic. If need be, he is capable of buckling down and getting the important things done. He just has a tendency to procrastinate on the busywork.
He's a fiercely loyal apprentice to Calder, an engineer, as well as a fast-learning and very skilled fighter. He hones his skills often with Eyesore and Howl, though he is far less interested in the hunt than the fight itself -- a most unusual quirk for a pearlcatcher.
