Lore:
The War for Dominance by PixelCat75332
Kassadin was born into chaos. There was a shortage of warriors in the Arcane flight, so dragons all over the Arcanist’s territory were being captured and exalted. Kassadin and her parents tried to flee with a group of Skydancers, but they flew too fast, and her parents were captured. They were about to take Kassadin, when a small group of the Skydancers saw what was happening and managed to save her. Her parents were exalted, but in the midst of the chaos, Kassadin grew up, mated and in what felt like 5 days since it was laid, had a nest hatching. The family tried to run from the Imperials trying to capture them but they caught up. The Guardians in the family were exalted, but Kassadin, being a Ridgeback, just barely managed to escape. After a very long time, it was over, and life went back to normal. However, Kassadin quickly found herself being sold for 20,000 treasure and 9 gems. She went to a new lair thinking she would become a fodder and be exalted like the rest of her family, but she waited with a few other dragons. One had frogs climbing all over her [Frogmaster], and she was friendly but a bit immature, and the other kept to herself [Gothita]. Eventually, Kassadin was given rings that controlled ribbons that drifted and swirled around her. It was the first gift anyone had ever given her [That I know of; when I found her in wtferpated’s lair she didn’t have any apparel, skins, or familiars] and it became a part of her, in a way.
One day, while she was scavenging with her clan during the Flameforger’s Festival of 2021, she found an egg. Magma flowed through the cracks in its rocky surface, and she could tell it was worth a lot. They took it to me, Darkseer, the queen of the lair. I [The 2nd queen of the lair] had been saving up for a Nocturne gene for Kassadin; to turn her into the dragon Stella [The first queen of the lair] had always wanted in the lair. She sold the egg for about 300,000 treasure, and was about to buy the Nocturne gene, when Kassadin told her the story of how she was saved from the War for Dominance and the Skydancers that saved her life. I bought a Skydancer gene instead, and helped Kassadin find a new name, and thus Sorcera was born.
Five Years Later: Sorcera has so many creatures following her now. She’s gained so much power and respect. She even has a small galaxy forming on her arm. She’s become so powerful that her eyes have suddenly changed. They can see every part of every world in every galaxy in every dimension. Sorcera has almost become as powerful as the Arcanist himself.
Two Months Later: While she’s exploring Sornieth and searching for other Children of the Arcanist, she comes across Vanilla, her lost twin sister. Vanilla hasn’t been exalted and she has the same colors, genes, breed, everything. The only difference is her eye type. [Click here to see Vanilla]
Two years later: As she’s touring Sornieth, Sorcera finds a strange cave. From inside she hears a voice shout “Eureka! I’ve done it again!” She enters the cave to see what happened. Inside, she finds a shop full of strange wonders such as crooked claws and miniature bottled clouds. In the back, a door is hanging open and inside an Imperial wearing magical elemental shard armor is staring in wonder at a Coatl that has lost some of its feathers. Sorcera asks what happened, and the Imperial replies, “This dragon is no longer a Coatl. I have invented the Coatllys! Here, let me show you a few more Saika! And by the way, I’m Imperis.” [Click here for the shop]
He shows her blueprints with mutated dragon breeds, and one in particular catches her eye: a dragon with a filigree on its face and its tail, with wisps at the edges of its wings, and with mutations giving its wings and tail forked points that hold glowing orbs in place. When she mentions it, Imperis says, “Oh, that’s an Oracle. It’s one of our experimental breeds, so transcending into one is risky! However, if you’d like, you may purchase an Orb of Prophecy in a color of your choice. The color you choose will affect orb and filigree color.”
Sorcera buys a purple Orb of Prophecy, and when she holds it in her hand and focuses her mind on it, it sinks into her scales and she begins to glow purple and change shape. When she finishes glowing, Imperis shouts “Eureka! I’ve done it again!” and hands her a mirror. As Sorcera stares into it, she doesn’t look like a Skydancer anymore. She is a stunning Oracle. [Click here for an image] “You can now use all kinds of magic and are far faster when airborne than any other breed and than when you are on land. I would suggest taking to the skies whenever you travel,” Imperis informes her. She feels a different kind of magic flowing through her veins in addition to the Arcanist’s magic… wait, no, many new kinds of magic. She takes to the skies, far faster when airborne than ever before. “Thank you!” she calls back. And thus, Sorcera becomes the first Oracle in Sornieth.
[This is the first real lore I’ve ever written, so I’m sorry if it’s not great.]

Rune Scratch: Just like scratch, but relies on intelligence rather than strength, and it’s magenta and summons runes around the wound that sometimes tickle Lightning opponents, just to be annoying. |

Runes of the Arcanist: The caster summons the power of the Arcanist to use his magic to perform tasks from as making objects hover to making runes float around to creating a sword made of solid magic to improving stats to healing allies, including the caster. Doesn’t deal any direct damage but can summon weapons or cause any one effect. |
Shadecast: Creates a cloud of shadow that covers the entire battlefield. The caster chooses who on the battlefield is affected and who is not. Blinds those who are affected and deals any damage type. Varied stat reliance. |
Arcadow Bolt: The caster fires a bolt of shadow magic at the target. Has a 100% chance of hitting the target. Can either poison the target so they take damage every turn or confuse them so they attack their allies instead of the caster’s. A high-damage attack that relies on Intelligence. |

Sorcera’s Wishlist:
Sorcera’s Pets:
Arcayla
Sorcera’s first friend. It’s true that Arcayla is just a mutated Fire Sprite, but that doesn’t mean she’s not connected to the Arcanist.
Cooper
A “fanpet” of my real-life pet, a bombay kitty named Cooper.
Prismi
Sorcera loves frogs. Frogs are cute little blobs with big eyes and little legs. So she adopted Prismi, a shiny embodiment of that true statement.
Orbeez
While she was training her Arcane power, it manifested differently than usual. It appeared with two other elements you wouldn’t expect to find with magic and the trio stayed with Sorcera as another familiar.
Elemental Apparel:
A purple galaxy created from the galactic powers of the Arcanist and the dark powers of the Shadowbinder merging and manifesting on her shoulder.
When she calls upon its Arcadow power, she opens a portal that reaches through the galaxy that has manifested part of itself on her shoulder and opens anywhere she chooses. It can even open in her galaxy.
Now that she’s caught the Shadowbinder’s attention because she has so much Shadow power, she has gained the Shadowbinder’s respect and earned her own Shadowstrike.
A tendril of Shadow essence surrounds her and a blade manifests on each end. They act like normal blades, but occasionally they will be laced with one effect of the wielder’s choosing when summoned.
The Arcanist has acknowledged Sorcera’s power and granted her a set of Cosmologist Fieldtools. She can summon and disperse these at any time, but it’s nice to keep them on her for aesthetic reasons. When they disperse, a few twinkling stars appear and drift around her, and when she summons the tools, the stars merge to create the tools.
The tools include two magic magenta charts that can display anything she wills to have manifest on them from her memory. She can also disperse any images projected on the papers. There is also a telescope that can expand to a standard star-viewing telescope on a stand to compact to a handheld telescope. The telescope allows her to detect magic and see as far as she wants. It also allows her to see through walls and other objects. If she locates an enemy she can target and attack it with any Arcane ranged attack through the telescope.
Sorcera has grown in Shadow power enough that it has manifested into tendrils of Shadow essence that wrap around her chest and feet. A small Trickmurk Circus emblem is hovering over her chest as well.
The Void’s Grasp protects her, but she can maneuver it to harm an opponent, affecting them with any two effects of the wielder’s choosing and dealing some Shadow damage.
Sorcera has reached a high rank in the Arcanist’s domain, so she has earned a Starfall Crystalcloak. It helps in battle as well as being very pretty and it can be a sign of high status as an Arcanite.
The crystals give off a magic-inspiring aura that improve the wearer’s Intelligence, can surround them in a solid magic shield that looks and behaves the same as a Magic Shield if the wearer pleases, and heals the wearer for a small amount of health every turn. The aura also deals some Arcane damage to any enemy who comes too close, but heals any ally who comes near enough to receive the effect.
Elemental halos manifest when a dragon is very powerful with a certain element. Sorcera has manifested two halos that have combined into one: an Arcadow halo.
Each halo grants +200 damage when attacking with the corresponding element.
A part-cat-part-firefly creature that emits a strange, glittering mist. It has traveled all the way from the Shadowbinder’s territory, but it took the long route and the time to find every path to every destination, so it can guide its master wherever the master needs to be. This is not always where the master intends to go.
Sorcera found her Guide when she was touring Sornieth and it offered to be her tour guide, and ended up being her life guide, helping her find where she needed to be both physically and mentally. It can also guide her through decisions such as which apparel item to buy, or which familiar to adopt, etc.
When in a battle, a Guide allows its master to foresee whether an attack will land a critical hit, how much damage it will deal/heal, and whether the target will dodge the attack.
A shawl made from fabric-ified Starwood Strand bark. Sorcera heard that these existed, so she went to her backyard to make one herself. She even gathered the leaves and condensed them to make the crystal for the wings, which glow to light the area around the wearer, which can be helpful at night or can act like a spotlight.
The wings increase the chance of the wearer dodging attacks and the fabric increases Defense by 12.

Scale Armor All-Seeing Eye Magic Crystal Shard Cluster of Magic Crystals Hoverstones Darkwood Wand |
Spare Scales Arcadow Crystals Dark Spellbook Shadow Rogue Uniform Void Loop Sorceress' Loopbelt |
Arcane Helmet Magic Orb Arcane Void Runestone Shadow Scythe Portable Scry Station Pretty Rock |
Scale Armor – When you cover one of your scales with this one, you get an extra lair of scales that act like armor, but more flexible and protective.
All-Seeing Eye – An eye set in a pendant that allows the holder to see the near future.
Magic Crystal Shard – A shard of Magic Crystal, the stone of the Arcane flight. It’s very pretty and emits a soft glow. It also pulses with a magic-inspiring aura.
Cluster of Magic Crystals – A cluster of Magic Crystals, the stone of the Arcane flight. It’s very pretty and emits a soft glow. It also pulses with a magic-inspiring aura.
Hoverstones – A collection of small, smooth stones that can be thrown far distances. They can also hover, so if one places, for example, an All-Seeing Eye on a Hoverstone, the stone can be sent up high and the owner of the Eye can see from the Eye’s perspective.
Darkwood Wand – A wand made from the dark wood of the Star Wood Strand. This wood can be used to make staffs or wands because it can absorb, enhance, and release magic.
Spare Scales – A jar of shimmering purple scales that can be used to cover old ones. Can be used for decoration, concealment, or as a bandage.
Arcadow Crystals – A cluster of Arcadow crystals. These are made of Magic Crystal at the base, but they fade to shadow at the top. These crystals can detect magic-inspiring auras and shadow-empowering auras. If they detect a magic-inspiring aura, they emit a shadow-empowering aura, and vise versa. If it detects both, it emits both with double the power.
Dark Spellbook – A dark book that seems to emit a shadow-empowering aura, but it’s a spellbook, so no one understands why except for those who completely understand how the power of Arcadow works. The book contains Shadow-based spells and recipes for strange, powerful concoctions.
Shadow Rogue Uniform – Sorcera has always felt like she had something to do with Shadow as well as Arcane, so when she needed to buy a rogue uniform to get serious with her career as a rogue, she bought one infused with Shadow energy. This uniform is her old rogue uniform which she has passed down to me. [Darkseer]
Void Loop – If set up correctly, this dark, shadowy rope can be shaped into a circle and activated with Shadow power such as a sweep of a Shadowstrike ribbon to be turned into a powerful black hole.
Sorceress’ Loopbelt – A belt with a few clusters of loops hanging off the sides. These can be used to hold almost anything: potions, ingredients, tools, etc.
Arcane Helmet – A dark helmet with Magic Crystals like spikes. The helmet can surround the wearer in a tight lair of Magic Shield if the wearer chooses.
Magic Orb – A special crystal orb filled with sparkling magic smoke. It is a handheld orb in which one can bond with so they can infuse it with their power so the mist inside the orb can enhance the magic and give it back to the holder for the holder to use.
Arcane Void Runestone – A runestone that emits Arcadow energy. It isn’t really the stone itself that holds power, but the Arcadow-infused glowing rune in the center. This stone behaves the same as Arcadow Crystals but with double the power and it dosn’t hurt as much if it, for example, falls on your head. The other one would likely kill you if that were to happen [But I can’t imagine why that would happen].
Shadow Scythe – A scythe imbued with Shadow power. Behaves the same as Shadowstrike blades.
Portable Scry Station – A glowing orb with dark, unnatural smoke swirling around it. Scrying workshops were not meant to be portable. The station can be summoned from the orb. When the owner summons the station, the orb is sitting clamped on a darkstone stand by teeth that wrap a bit more than halfway over it. When the owner is ready, the station can be absorbed back into the orb.
Pretty Rock – Exactly what the name suggests: a pretty rock. Sorcera keeps it around because she loves stone collecting, and this one is lovely.
Children of the Arcanist
Children born from one of Sorcera’s nests are always infused with magic. They are called Arcanelings for their exceptional strength in magic. Many myths are going around that the Arcanist has been the one to give them extra power, but others say they inherit it from their mother. It is really a combination of the two. The Arcanist favors Sorcera and her children, so they always have a bit of extra Arcane power. Upon his request, some of these special children are sent to serve the Arcanist. Those who are sent to war tend to excel at magic among the other warriors, but they often give up their names for better focus on improving power and less on better relationships. |
