 HistoryWhen Batiste was only just finding his footing as an adult, he and his mother Zinnia left their home clan. Not because of any strife or falling out, but simply because his family decided together that it would be safer for them to live apart, seeing as they're all imperials. The two of them wandered for ages without finding a solid home, and had their fair share of close shaves as two relatively undefended merchants. The Eleven only know how long they would've been on the road had they not met a peculiar pair of dragons named Rixa and Talon, who invited them back to their home and welcomed them to the clan like family. Nowadays the two of them spend their days travelling between home and the Cloudsong, staying in each place for a few weeks at a time. In the kite-city they sell their wares and services, and at home, Batiste has his work cut out for him repairing all the clothes everybody wrecks on their adventures. Batiste is not fond of fighting, and uses his finely-honed wind magic to do everything from sewing together fabric to weaving cloth from thread. But don't be fooled into thinking he can't defend himself when he wants to just because his magic lacks in power - he more than makes up for it with precision jets of air sharper than steel. |

Zinnia is Batiste's mother and business partner. Her playful personality and zest for life helps keep Batiste from working himself to death, and he helps her keep her head out of the clouds when she needs to. |

Batiste isn't particularly close with his father Novan, as the two live in separate clans and rarely see each other. But they've kept in touch and get along well. |

Batiste has kept in touch with his brother Camus even though they live in separate clans. They may clash from time to time, but their bond has stayed strong despite the distance. When Camus is around you might even see Batiste crack a smile. |

You wouldn't expect the stoic Batiste to be friends with Caldera, who is at first glance his complete opposite. But the two are fast friends anyway, and often disappear for months at a time on business trips around the plateau. |

Batiste shares a particular disdain for unnecessary violence with his friend and acquaintance, Gwelyn. They don't meet up often, but when they do they get on very well, and when they collaborate on work they can make some truly spectacular things. |
