Cinnamon Crunch sees himself as the perfect blend of both of his parents, with a love for travel and the outdoors. Part perfumer, part archaeologist, he's always on the hunt for clues to Sornieth's deep history in the form of uncovered bones and runes - as well as sweet-smelling flowers from which he can create his signature scents that follow him to the field and back. For a dragon that spends all day digging around in the dirt, he smells awfully good.

@Hyzenthlaay: Today marks my first real steps away from Clan Mavenlark, which has been my home. I've explored across Sornieth before, but with the understanding that I will always return to Mavenlark. Well, today, I've decided that Mavenlark will no longer hold me back from my adventures. I want to see what the world has to offer, unhindered. Goodbye, mother!
@icealkaid: I spent quite some time in the Enchanted Garden, enjoying the sunlight and making some new friends! However, this is only the first step of my adventures, and I must go farther, to see more places...
@Breedabie: There were many fragrant blossoms and undergrowth to be catalogued and collected among the dragons of Verdant Glade, both abundant wild growth as well as cultivated gardens. I have inquired of several of the residents as to the native locations of some of their imported flora, and they have pointed me in the right direction to seek them out. I will be heading out to locate some of their native habitats once I have gathered my belongings...
@FeeshyKette: On my travels I wandered into a nomad Wind clan who happened to be passing by. They offered me company for the night, and as we told stories and shared food by the fire, these strangers I'd just met treated me like an old friend. Unfortunately, we were bound for different destinations. As day broke, it was time for us to part ways. They packed some food for me as a parting gift - plants native to Wind - and we bid farewell with smiles on our faces and a good memory in our hearts.
@Hyzenthlaay: I know I was insistent on leaving Mavenlark, but what with it being a massive trading hub, it's difficult to entirely avoid it. Besides, complete avoidance was never really the goal. I just didn't want to get stuck here, y'know? Anyway, everyone is really happy to see me. I, unfortunately, missed all of my siblings and Dad in one fell swoop - you think with the number of us out on the trade routes, I'd be bound to find them - but Mom and some old friends were here. I found out that I have some half-siblings through Dad now; he sent Mom a letter about them, which she was excited to show me. Actually, that's something I've been figuring out about Mavenlark that's so different from other clans: other clans are so touchy about non-monogamy. More siblings equals more fun!
@SakuraDryad: Speaking of siblings, I found a sprawling clan in the Tangled Wood, where I met my half-sister Alyda. The clan is huge, and in the many months I spent there, I don’t think I managed to meet every dragon there. I helped my sister in the nurseries, and surprised myself by how much I enjoyed playing with the hatchlings! I think I enjoyed being settled down for a while, but I always knew some day I would move on. I will miss my sister, but she promised to find a way to stay in touch when I settled with a new clan.
@sgkat: I came to the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, an inn with friendly residents and an absolutely lovely Meadow full of flowers I'd not seen before. Obrad was delighted to give me as many samples as I could wish - more than I could carry, really! - and also heaped upon me local legends and fairy tales, which were fascinating. Encouraging my intrigue, he introduced me to Seanan, and it was wonderful to meet a fellow archaeologist.
When he learned that I am not just a perfumer, he was willing to take me beneath the Lanternhouse to the Vault, ruins that he theorize date back to the Second Age. Apparently most dragons who descend below find the place creepy, but I found it fascinating. The labyrinthine rooms were clearly designed for non-dragon beings, and, unless you knew where to look, appeared totally empty.
Seanan gave me a full tour, and while I did want to study those rooms, I found myself drawn to the open-air garden at the very heart of the Vault.
Seanan welcomed my help in research, and it was so satisfying to be back in a site again. I enjoy developing perfumes, make no mistake, but there is something about sifting earth between one's claws...
And then my enchanted days were put to an abrupt end. I don't know what Herelie was up to, but she had no business trespassing on an archaeological site. Before I could bring her to the clan matriarch to face discipline - and then haul her back to Clan Mavenlark - she took off with a partner-in-crime.
Her intrusion was not my fault, but nevertheless, I felt I had violated Seanan's trust. I bid him farewell with regret.
@GildedSkies The earth always calls back to me at some point. Of course, I never expected the call to be like this. I’ve found myself visiting a wind flight clan traversing the continent in airships. It certainly is fascinating what harnessed elemental energy can achieve! However, I digress. The main reason I found myself on the Kitesong was to meet a research team studying the recent geological disturbances and archaeological discoveries related to Earthshaker. What was even more unique was the composite of the team, all obelisks! What privilege it was to work with the newest breed on Sorneith! My heart goes out to these dragons. One individual on the team, a fellow archaeologist, had been present for the events at the Dustcarve Dig and found herself transformed by her deity after falling in the caverns. Another was sculpted as a statue by the god himself, and given life in the Lightweaver’s domain. It all must be so confusing. All they want is to know why this happened, and what they’re purpose for existence is exactly.
These are undoubtedly unprecedented times we are living in. If I can do anything I can to uncover Sorneith’s history under the earth, by the deities I sure am going to try! Now more than ever I feel an urgency to do so. As I continue my travels, I hope to keep in contact with the researchers I’ve met here. Perhaps together we stand a better chance at deciphering more clues.
After departing from the Obelisks of the Kitesong, I found myself in the company of a young shadow maiden, she was never in the Dustcarve Cave, nor was she awoken there. It seems like she awoke in the shadows of the Shadowbinders realm. But how I ask? If she was not released from the Dustcarve sleep, then I ask you how does the Earthshakers newest creation find themselves born in the heart of shadows? Something isnt right. We must get to the bottom of it
Yahel, the young shadow maiden, has agreed to take me to her village, perhaps more answers will be found there
