Keeper: dedicated to guarding lesser Shade creatures imprisoned in the mid-levels of a ward.

Sonia used to feel very in the shadow of a dragon she never even met, another Goaler named Harmony. Not only was she Harmony's professional replacement when she was exalted to serve the Gladekeeper, but she actually fell in love with Harmony's former mate Auberon. Not something Sonia would have chosen objectively but it just...happened with time.

It has taken some time to feel secure, valued for her own skills at keeping Shades by her clan and loved for herself by Auberon. She is easy to underestimate if you are...well, prejudiced or unobservant, and think a calm facade and a soft pink blossoms means 'push over'. Auberon is an anxious dragon and she supports him through it all, having known anxiety herself (though she also will stand her ground against him if he's projecting that anxiety too much on their children). Sonia has deep reserves of personal strength.
