Perhaps he is just what you would expect out of a Wildclaw. A lion's head draped across his shoulders, a sword as large as he is strung across his hip, a muzzle and limbs riddled with scars - everything at first glance looks like the typical fighter, no?

And indeed, perhaps by some aspects you are simply right; but Basil has other plans in mind. To live by stereotypes is a boring life indeed, wouldn't you say? So it is that he has his own secrets. Certainly, it is the case that he's a formidable fighter, a dragon that's more warrior than rogue, large and striking —

But who's to say he can't take those qualities and make himself a phantom thief out of them?

When the moon dawns, Basileus shrugs off his lion's pelt and puts on the opera's mask. He finds no true skill in stealth, but he doesn't need to; with a confident stride, a proud strut that loftily suggests its owner makes more money by breathing than anyone around them would make with 10 years' worth of hard labour, he can weave his way into any fancy party. A rapier instead of a cleaver, and he seems like a gentleman instead.

He's quiet and aloof, and people take this for more confidence rather than awkwardness. His presence and reputation proceed him such that the possibility that he simply doesn't know what to say is inconceivable, and he rather likes it that way. The more he can separate the stoicness attributed to his warrior's upbringing to his night time romps, the better.

This is how a Wildclaw, loud in silence, walks into places he was never meant to be near except to guard it, and leaves with his pockets full of priceless items to redistribute.

ARCHON
No one rich enough to have multiple statues pays any attention to what they do as they're throwing their ostentatious parties. So long as they're clean, polished, and pretty, that's all that's important.

Basileus' faithful familiar keeps watch for him, still as the statue it seems like, and helps him stake out every mansion he visits. He may not need stealth, but quick getaways afterwards are still a must.
