Not much is known about Grimshaw's life before she joined up with Mordecai's gang. Her past is something that she insists doesn't matter and pressing her for the details usually ends in someone that isn't her getting hurt. That's not to say that she hasn't let some details slip and putting the puzzle pieces together from what is known paints an ugly picture. If she were to spill her guts then it might go a little something like this... Grim's life used to be a relatively peaceful one. She had a husband and a small farm, both of which she loved dearly. Things must have been going too well for her because when tragedy struck it completely tore the rug out from under her. She doesn't even know who they were, the degenerates that invaded her home that fateful night, but they took everything from her. They murdered her husband and burned her home down just for sport. With nothing left for her there, she buried her husband and left what was still left of their once happy home behind. Consumed by rage and desire for revenge, Grim made a living for while as a bounty hunter. She had nothing left to lose and the competition made her feel something other than hate. She was good at her job and was making plenty of money but never settled down again. Instead, she spent her money on booze, weapons, and fancy mounts. She was meant to bring Moredecai in, more likely dead than alive from the intel she'd collected on him. He wasn't going to back down and Grimshaw had no intention of doing so either. The bounty on his head was high, high enough that she could move out of the Wasteland if she wanted to. And so she left in search of him and his rowdy friends. She tracked him for weeks before finally finding him and the fight that ensued was even harder than she'd anticipated. She probably would have died if he hadn't stopped to propose something different. He liked her spirit and, according to him, had a habit of recruiting bounty hunters that were sent after him. Only the good ones, obviously, and he thought it would be a shame to kill someone with her talent and fire. At first, she declined the offer and much to her surprise Mordecai let her go. She left with her pride wounded and her tail between her legs. It was a week later when she showed back up on Mordecai's doorstep. Only this time she had no desire to fight him. She'd pondered his offer and decided to accept. She wouldn't admit it to anyone but she was tired of running on her own and besides if it was a more miserable life than her current one she could always leave. But she never did. Grimshaw is reckless, angry, and vindictive. She has no fear of putting herself in danger or the people she's working with. That's not to say that she isn't loyal to the gang, she very much is but in the heat of a battle she tends to lose herself and become consumed by the desire to win above all else. She has a reputation for being rather cruel, especially to those she deems weak. Because of this, on the surface she doesn't appear to be deeply fond of the softer members of the gang such as Moya, Nico, and Primrose. She also has very little patience for Knox due to his overtly cheerful nature. Lucky for her he has all the patience in the world. Despite all of this there's very little she wouldn't do for the Blight Touched. She might spit and bite and hiss but in the end, she cares for them deeply. Yes, even Moya, Nico, and Prim.
