A mind of our own—absurd.
I am they, and they are me.
There is no I, there's only we.

Rustling through the canopies—a dozen winged shadows rush by. They seem in a hurry, as though they, too, as shadows do, will vanish once the sun digs it's claws into their backs.
Their snickers as crisp and everywhere as the golden, fallen leaves around them. A peaceful autumn night.

Searching. Searching. Searching. A place to stay, a place in need of resurrection. Oh, such a place is easy to find, is it not? Everyone has lost someone, more dear and precious than any gems—and everyone will want someone so precious back. And if one wants them back enough, a pair of fuchsia eyes and eerie snickers will be there. Waiting.

“A soul for a soul—it's only fair,” they speak, their eyes piercing through the darkness. “Gems pay for my valuable time. But a miracle has a unique price all of its own. Do not worry, though. Where we're going, you won't be needing a soul anymore, anyway.”
