Biography
KERWYN The Phantom of the Wood Clan Role: Warrior/Survival expert Mate: Margold Pronouns: she/her Bio: Of course Kerwyn chose to wander off instead of staying on with Olivia. There was too much discomfort, a deep sense of loss she couldn't place. She knew her memories had been taken from her. But try as she might, she couldn't get them to come back, though she tried many spells and herbs designed to unlock memories hidden deep in her mind. Perhaps her memories were truly gone. Perhaps it was better that way. At first, Kerwyn tried to survive on her own. She distantly, fuzzily, knew she had once done this, and she had all her knowledge of woodlore and survival skills still intact. But it was lonely, and she caught herself staring up at the moon and longing for something more. Squirrels and birds made for acceptable companions, but they weren't much for conversation. Kerwyn tracked down the other group that had left Olivia's clan, and despite the journey being long, she felt life and purpose returning to her as she enjoyed the hunt. She caught up with them somewhere in the Tangled Wood, and they were grateful for her help in making their way through the twisting brambles in the dark. It was just the four of them at first. In time, other dragons joined their group, each having left their original clans for their own reasons. Though Kerwyn was passingly friendly with some of the others, there was always a strange disconnect, this gap she'd never bridge. None of them had been through what she had--none of them had ever been a part of the Warriors during the split. But the first to join them thereafter, Margold, was new, like her. No history, she'd almost seemed to spring forth from the earth, and Kerwyn found she related to her a lot. They bonded in a way that made Kerwyn happy, even as she also felt a strange, sad feeling: nostalgia for something she couldn't grasp. Sand through her paws. In time, those feelings faded a bit, a she found things that belonged just to the two of them. Things that were just Kerwyn and Margold's. They made a game out of collecting memories--mementos from places they visited. And they'd talk about them, all the time, so neither of them forgot the experiences they'd had there together. Kerwyn didn't need the teas, she didn't need any tricks, she had her mementos and she had Margold, who accepted her eccentricities and loved her all the same. And it was definitely better that way. |
