To say the Clan was surprised at their discovery at the Forbidden Portal is a massive understatement. Called Keirnan for their dark appearance and even darker sense of humor. They seem to enjoy being unsettling towards others and have almost provoked several fights to break out. It was decided by the Main 3 to allow the Mechanics Subdivision and Intel Subdivision to study and educate if possible Keirnan. It was discovered that Keirnan was a sort of draconic abomination. Meaning it seems they were made from a dragon's corpse that had somehow ended up beyond the Portal. What made it and what exactly is the strange matter that has bonded with said corpse is another issue entirely. Said matter allows them to be able to shapeshift forms. One minute they're looking like a dragon and the next they've become a cup or chair. Which has been used to their great amusement. And has been a subject of many scoldings. They're slowly learning some degree of ethics...though it is somewhat difficult for them to understand completely. But they at least seem to like wearing clothes for the texture! Keirnan is understandably kept on a tight leash. However it was decided that they may be of use to the Intel Subdivision due to their strange skillset. They're just happy to finally be able to do something other than tests. They seem to like food but don't gain any nutrition from it. Rather disturbingly they eat whatever makes up brain energy with leaves the victim as a black husk. It was also found out that they could eat the energy of mechanical beings or at least complex machines with no such sentience/sapience in the mix. For understandable ethical reasons this is Keirnan's 'food' and they don't seem to mind much-just that they get fed. There's still plenty in the Clan that are disturbed by them-including some of the more tolerant ones. For the foreseeable future they will held in their den when not on a mission and provided with additional lessons as well as entertainment. As time goes on more options for entertainment and even exploration outside the den may be on the table. Study will continue to ascertain the many questions surrounding this strange addition to the Clan.
