Biography
No one knows what Altair's charge is. Some believe it's an ancient treasure hidden deep in the clan's grounds. Others believe that he has lost his charge long ago, which would explain his sorrowful, weary attitude. The clan doesn't ask much about his past out of respect, but occasionally, one can find him reminiscing wistfully of old friends from Starfall Isles.
He never intended to be leader of a clan and still doesn't consider himself one, but will give anything to protect the others, and doesn't hesitate to welcome lost or injured adventurers either. His stern face and quiet personality shouldn't fool anyone; he's too kind and soft for his own good.
Familiars:
Rubeus
Altair found the injured mouse as soon as he moved to the Windswept Plateau, and nursed it back to health. It is as timid and avoidant as its master, and hardly lets anyone but Altair touch it. It is no coward though, and often disappears for days exploring. It also seems to enjoy watching storms of all things, and Altair often has to look out for it so it doesn't get blown by the wind or worse. That's likely how it got injured back then.
Sylphy
A Gem Guardian that took a liking to Altair. It is highly energetic and playful for around two hours a day, and then sleeps soundly next to its gemstone. That doesn't mean it's a bad guardian though. It can sense danger and blow away enemies even when asleep. It can also power up wind dragons nearby.
Birds in general tend to love Altair. It's not unusual to see some flying close to him or even sleeping on his back.
Is this a bird, though? Does it really counts as a bird??
Oh well, Altair looks fine with it.
