Mandrake lacks the ability to speak Draconic so they rely on their friend, Aphrodite, to translate for zir. Ze is quite fond of these new land creatures, especially these other dragons. Zir old home’s water was far to pressurized for most dragons to even come close to it, so ze has never truly seen dragons other than the few guardians. Zir is still getting used to this modern, above water, world, so don’t be surprised if they try to eat a pearlcatcher or panic from the sight of machines

Much more aquatic and monstrous than your average guardian, teeth far to big for zirs mouth, extra fins and a shark like tail, and zir giant size make them very threatening, and ze acts like it too. Very royal and sophisticated! Except when anyone mentions the ocean. They will go on tangents about it, all the creatures, the plants, the damn bubbles. Ze will happily rant to anyone who’s willing to listen. (It gives Aphrodite a bit of trouble translating it all tho since ze talk so fast…)

Ze represents the dark side of water magic, which is usually older forms of it like rituals or chants. It’s more “primitive” and more powerful than modern water magic

TRIVIA
  • Ze often skips teaching their classes so Windsong is forced to do them (which she fails terribly at). She of course screams at em afterwards but ze keep fricking DOING IT
  • Language is a mix of Olden Draconic and Maren
  • Zir snake is named ꖎ𝙹リ⊣ ⎓╎ᓭ⍑ (translates to long fish)
  • Quite squishy because of the deep sea pressure
  • Despises bugs, absolutely hates them. Cant stand the sight of them and will scream at the top of zir lungs if ze see one
  • Is fascinated by fire
  • Favorite food is wheat. Raw wheat.
  • The word mandrake is the first, and currently only word that they know, and ze has decided that it’s officially zir name
