Biography

~~~~~~~~ B E G I N.
It seems as though another sandstorm is brewing. Plaguebringer knows there is no surviving one of her great storms”.
The melodic chime of bones whistling in the wind along with the smooth tone of the mysterious Skydancer before you somehow bring you to a calm. Albeit the fumes of pure decay in the air, the core of this underground lair is the only place you will find solace in this deserted wasteland.
He approaches you. You can see the wrinkles in his face more clearly now. He is old, perhaps one of the oldest dragons you’ve ever encountered. He extends a claw towards you.
“Follow me. No other choice but to wait it out”.
A small band of dragons occupy this unusually humid region of the Abiding Boneyard, where the great blood river never ceases to run. A spiraling staircase carved from pink granite will lead you down to the entrance of this lair. Fine sand whirls around you down the drafty staircase, and you find yourself feeling hypnotized by its movement. The weight of the air grows lighter the further you go. The odor from above is soon replaced with the sweet scent of roses and sage. You are met by a younger looking Spiral, with bones and antlers decorating his wings. He tends meticulously to a blooming garden, a rare sight in the Abiding Boneyard, and seems utterly indifferent of your presence- until he plucks a single crimson rose from his garden and tucks it neatly behind your ear.
“Welcome, traveler”.
For as unwelcoming of a reputation the plaguelands hold, this quaint underground domain leaves you feeling right at home.
______ "The Old Man" is hardly an insult. It's a title, one amongst many. "Wanderer," "The Lost," "The Seeker," "The Finder," "The Harbinger," and many others come to mind when the old tundra is spoken of.
His wanderings brought him from clan to clan- from the Wastes to the Viridian Labyrinth, to Dragonhome, to the Windswept Plateau, and back again to the Wyrmwound, where Lauern saw a fellow story keeper, a fellow lover of lore, and welcomed him to meet with Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Thrawn saw a good measure of wit and experience, and the approval of Lauern, and let the old dragon make a place for himself.
Grimnir is old, but still spry, and sharp. He always has witticisms to share- whether anyone wants them or not- and a dry, gallows humour that accompanies his wisdom. He collects bones and other trophies, usually those he finds on his travels, and has stories attached to every single one.
He gets on well with Lauern and Brendol, the three going over records, stories and lore. Lauern reads, Brendol writes, and Grimnir remembers. Every trophy, every trinket he has hanging from his wings bears the scent of a story, of a memory, of a tale to be remembered, and he tells them to Lauern, to Brendol, and they expand the clan's knowledge.
As of late, there has been a breach growing between him and the Progenitor. Amarodey remembers the clan from its very beginning, and Grimnir's tellings of the clan's story is not to her liking. His sense of smell tells differently from what she remembers- memories she was not around to see. Tension is rising between them, and the Elders are getting cagey. It is clear that soon, something will have to happen, and someone will have to go.
As it turns out, the Wanderer is remaining true to his name. X
"I have as many names as there are winds; as many titles as there are ways to die."
