As the self proclaimed "greatest pirate" ever to cross the seas, Sobek is a young but well traveled dragon with a healthy zeal for life itself and everything it has to offer. On his travels he has seen many things and met many strange individuals, and on one such journey he came to the shadow flightlands and happened upon the Clan Misfortune. Intrigued by their way of life and just about everything else about them, he decided to stay and observe them longer. Though he claims one day he'll leave and begin travelling once more, for now, he seems quite content living among the dragons of the clan, regailing the hatchlings with stories of his adventures, and using his skills to pirate and steal supplies and riches for the clan as a whole.

Sobek is a constantly upbeat dragon, he almost always has to be doing something, and seldom stays still for long. He's quick to laugh and always has a joke ready for any occassion. He isn't without his own dark side or troubles, but he seldom lets things get him down. He has an almost childlike wonder for most things around him, and though he can be violent and is not opposed to killing where and when necessary, he does have a love for life and all things living it.
