Biography
This lair is a semi-nomadic flock of dragons from all reaches of Sornieth. They have taken residence across the mountain flats, forests, and creeks of the Beltane Fjords — the top plateau of which is home their main camp.
Marling is Vega's research assistant, and the mate of Palua. He spends a lot of time out adventuring, but stays with Palua and bonds with the other local dragons for a few moons at a time in between.
He is a native of the Icefields, originally part of a small nomadic family that was known for making music and stirring up energy anywhere they went. He was the runt of the clutch, and spent much of his hatchling life tucked into the coats of his kin to stay warm while they sang and danced and played. This led him to adore the practice, though, and he remained part of it for many years. It wasn't until their eldest member and great-great-great grandmother passed away that the troupe disbanded, and everyone went their separate ways.
He met Vega on a steep mountain pass that the Pearlcatcher was struggling to navigate, even with the guiding hooves of his companion Longneck, and assisted in getting them back to safety. From there, the two became fast friends over the history of the mountains' upper reaches, and Marling agreed to make the trek back to the Beltane Fjords. He and Palua fell in love quickly, and are now mated.
Ozcarge the Clouddancer was a neglected pet being held captive by a group of nasty Wildclaws looking for trouble on a mountain pass. Marling tricked them into abandoning the little gryphon, and since then, he has been a steadfast companion and fighter as needed to the peaceful Coatl.
