Although his breed and appearance might suggest otherwise, Shanzar is a nice and polite dragon. Quite a rarity among Mirrors, and for this very reason he ended up on his own - creative divergences, as he says, though he's not a dragon of many words.

Shanzar ended up badly injured while hunting and was almost convinced he'd die in the very spot he fell when a big shadow shielded him from the sun. He turned his head to saw the silhuette of a Guardian dragoness staring at him from above.
The big girl carried him to her newly-made lair by the scruff - with quite a bit of complaints from Shanzar - and they've been together ever since.

Together, they are the elder founders of the Bohemian Star.
