Biography
It's difficult to tell how much of this dragon is organic and how much is machine. His face - or that is, the outside of it - is comprised of bone and onyx, with a set of large outer teeth as well as an inner jaw full of gnarled, serrated fangs. He speaks in a gritty synthesized voice. Boiling lava pumps through the artificial veins segmented along his body, and pipes and engines support his wing joints. The friction between these installments and the primal fire energy running through him can occasionally cause flares of red sparks; these do not harm him, but are incredibly unpleasant for both organic life forms and mechanical constructs. Sharpened sardonyx crystals line his feathers, always on full display for maximum effect. His underbelly is sulfurous and chalky in texture, catching red-orange prisms under the light. If the rusted chains adorning his wings and macabre broadsword weren't enough to scream that Psyptalov was not a cheery fellow, he always keeps a crown of bones atop his head, as if to warn of his past exploits.
Although terrifying and monstrous as he may appear, Psyptalov does not display any kind of hostility to others unless they pose a direct threat to him or his allies. He is extremely formidable in combat; his cybernetic components streamline and optimize the efficiency of combat to levels impossible to achieve for the purely organic. Although his modifications appear to be fire-bent - perhaps even lightning-influenced as well - his own elemental affinity is a complete mystery.
Psyptalov is not necessarily a leader of the Dreadknights, although he does serve as a critical voice of reason in their decision-making, and the others deeply respect him. He is quite benevolent to youth and extremely wary of anyone with significant political or economic power - say, the elite forgesmiths. Although he rarely gets himself involved in the actual battlefields of the revolution for personal reasons, he works extremely hard to support Eranth and his adjacent allies.
He has a long and complicated history with Miwu.
oh spooky its his history

Psyptalov is the result of three very infamous individuals - a lightning Mirror, a fire Pearlcatcher, and a light ridgeback - coming together to create something never seen before, to fight against a danger not yet fully understood.
Taking the bones of an ancient supernaturally powerful Skydancer, the three joined efforts to resurrect his remains into a formidable war machine. This was a measure in direct response to the awakening of Miwu, an event which prompted various Light clans to collaborate in order to create something capable of defending themselves.
However, when push came to shove, these two dragons were not interested in fighting each other. They despised their makers and the values they stood by. It wouldn't be until years later that they would eventually escape to roam on their own.
