Biography
Nicknamed Xio or Miwu. Her name is a title, one that long ago belonged to a line of imperials blessed by the Shadowbinder with the powers of amortality and manipulating the dead. Known collectively as the Juchami, the Xiojuchamiwu was the pinnacle of their shadow magic, an individual that held the powers of a lower god and alone was entrusted to communicate directly with the Shadowbinder. They could wield the incredibly powerful ability to distort reality itself by creating a gloam dome, a massive "shell" of powerful shadow magic that stretched across the sky and penetrated a ways underground. Such a dome would induce strange effects on the environments that it encapsulated, and not just by the obfuscation of daylight. The main function of a gloam dome was to partially shift its encapsulated reality into what has been dubbed a "twilight dimension", an eerie plane that does not follow the same temporal and spatial rules as Sorneith's reality. Among many things, twilight dimensions (of which there are believed to be more than one) host vaguely deceased and/or void beings, powered by a shadow-like magic not native to Sorneith. Gloam domes linked the two planes together whilst keeping itself discrete on the outside; only other shadow dragons, and even only those of a certain level of magical affinity, could perceive or enter the dome.
The Juchamiwu at large were immune to the Emperor curse and once held a large following of sorts in further pursuing their magical capacities and the characteristics of twilight dimensions, but their lineage was destroyed and banished by unknown forces centuries ago. Miwu was awoken by a group of mages after some of these records were rediscovered.
Miwu is incredibly large, dwarfing the size of even the average Imperial, and she wears layers of ancient sacred garments and armor unique to the Juchami. This armor is embedded with the symbolism and design motifs of Xiojuchamiwu like her, as well as her own personal tastes. It is bound to her soul specifically and cannot be interacted with by those not given permission, lest they enter a catatonic state for as long as they are touching it.
