Tähdenlennon saariryhmän eräällä saarella oli kauan sijainnut ränsistymään päässyt kalliolinna. Se oli ollut tyhjillään niin kauan kuin Hovin rusetit sen muistivat. Yhtäkkiä paikka oli kuitenkin alkanut kuhista kissoista. Näiden pienten eläinten äänet saattoi toisinaan tuulisina päivinä kuulla jopa Rusettien hovin puutarhaan saakka.

Vanha linna oli saanut ylhäisiä asukkaita. Nuori kreivitär ja tämän puoliso olivat löytäneet itselleen asuinpaikan alkaen kunnostaa sitä arvolleen sopivaksi. Villit kissat olivat puolestaan kreivittären lemmikeitä, joita hän hoiti tunnollisesti, ehkä hiukan liiankin tunnollisesti.

Aristokraattinen pariskunta itsessään oli hiukan omalaatuinen. Näissä oli jotain mistä vierailevat lohikäärmeet eivät oikein päässeet perille. Pariskunta oli hyvin ystävällinen ja vieraanvarainen, mutta samalla hyvin tarkkoja siitä, etteivät sallineet yhdenkään lohikäärmeen jäädä yöksi linnaan. Se oli perin merkillistä, sillä Luneisélle kirjoitti säännöllisesti yöllisiä raportteja lady Chouchoulle, miten kun kukaan ei ollut hereillä, linna oli täysin valaistu, kuin siellä olisi olleet yksityiset juhlat.
