Marion hummed to herself as she strolled through the back alleys of the Undercity, the bells on her rust-colored collar jingling with every motion. Her garish coloration marked her as a member of the Entertainer's Guild, though it was not mere makeup that afforded her such a prestigious position. No, this was permanence of a higher caliber - an unfortunate incident with an overworked alchemist had resulted in the amalgamation of contrasting colors that pockmarked her scales, splotchy and strange like some Wyrmwound disease.

Still, though, there were dragons in the Overcity that would pay top dollar for someone like her to perform at their high-society events. Her flamboyant dance routines were always in high demand, and more discerning customers knew exactly how much to offer in order to coax a song out of her. It was grueling work, long hours spent entertaining the masses that hooted and jeered just as often as they applauded and called for encores. In any case, the pay was good and the accommodations suitable. Plus, she thought to herself with a smirk, as long as the masses are entertained, nobody ever misses their valuables for long.
