Biography
Bonkers
Devoted Co-Captain of the Valley
"With a million lies, the truth will rise to tear you apart!..."
The Guardian stood tall, a mirror under his claws before releasing him. "Bested again, Dodo. I told you to sharpen your mind."
Bonkers was the strongest of the fighting force for the light side of the valley, his head adorned in one of his older, first kills. He was quick, dangerous, and a veteran in combat, used to fights of big and small. His body was evidence for this, covered in a multitude of golden scars that laced his cursed body. Yes, he was cursed, but it was for a reason out of his control. He did not mean to take the rune shard from what remained of the beholder, but now it was his curse.
He's a traitor to some, but a lover to one.
Before ever becoming a part of the valley's circle, Bonkers was with Nattehimmel, the dragoness of the night. He himself was just like her... but he was different. His heart, though forced to be cold and stone-like, hid gold and warmth. He was a lover, not a fighter, and he was certainly not interested in his first partner after seeing her maul another dragon, sending them plummeting into the sea beyond. The poor fae's scream burned into his mind, seeing the lady become lifeless upon contact with the surface. Her blood pooled through the water, saturating it red as her body sank.
Bonker's eyes judgingly stared at the dragoness, asking her why she did such a thing. She didn't give him an answer though, flying away. More of these contacts, even seeing the tragic murder of the leader's sons... and he was done. Confronting Nattehimmel, he roared that he would rather be toothless than be like her, and she didn't take it well. Shredding his wings, his face, his whole body... She left him covered in the aforementioned golden scars, kicking him off her den's edge. This only momentarily changed his mind, but after that... He had his attraction turn to another.
The mother, Anxiota, still mourned heavily over her sons, and her now missing mate. Tears always seemed constant when others looked into her glowing eyes, and he held empathy. He wanted to heal some of her wounds at least, first meeting her, then growing closer. With their friendship blooming, Bonkers felt like he couldn't return to what life he had before, and took to facing Nattehimmel once again.
"I'll tell you this, night dragoness. I won't speak of your job here, but I will no longer work alongside you. I've had enough, and realized that this cursed role of ours is not one for me. Leave me to my devices, and I will leave you to yours."
A contract sealed with reluctance, Nattehimmel growing envious of the dragon of light. However, Bonkers was going to stay true to his promise, purifying himself from his name of evil, and never speaking of it to Anxiota, fearing her reaction. He was no longer of evil, he was of devotion, and he promised to never break it, even if it meant others speaking of what he once was to his lover.
He healed her wounds, but she couldn't heal his. That was perfectly fine with the "guardian".
