Microlore: The library his father keeps had long been his home. Hatched healthy, he challenged his sister to a race down the canyon walls and was pinned beneath a cascade of stones. The stones shattered his hips, and while the bones were set, he has never again run quite as well.

Work beyond the Citadel has always called to him, but the traditional path of his people is outside his scope. He would die on the trail of a quarry, and any prisoners under his watch would overpower him. Instead, he seeks to keep stories to educate and guide the young gaolers and other breeds who come to him seeking wisdom. He may not be able to tell exactly what the Shade looks like now, but he can tell the young ones all the ways it has been turned away before so that they may know what might work again.
