Cardinal

Despite how it may seem, Cardinal is far from irresponsible, and feels a strong sense of duty to her tribe. She enjoys hunting and fighting, and will join as many patrols as she can. Mostly because of her highly protective nature, but part of it is that she doesn't want to feel like she's missing out on anything. If something interesting is happening, she wants to know about it first-hand, and wakes up every day wondering what exciting things will happen. She's a little bit of a gossiper.

The time comes for all guardians when they must go on their Search, a personal journey of self-discovery where they fend for themselves far away from their home-tribe. However, the idea doesn't appeal to Cardinal, and she plans to skip straight to her coming-of-age ceremony. Technically The Search isn't necessary to complete training, but guardians who don't are seen as shameful among others of their breed. Her father, Azul, warns her of this, and urges her to go on her Search. They're both very persistent about their beliefs though, and nothing changes until eventually her close friend Ripple persuades her to, and Cardinal caves.

What happens on her search is unknown as of now. Although...

Crystal is a female Glassbound Solarvul that she received on her Search, before she had officially come of age. The fox is nearly as passionate and loyal as Cardinal is and has a lot of energy. Crystal is relatively shy when it comes to meeting new dragons or beasts, but it doesn't take much convincing for her to trust others.
