tranquility was an early member of the clan. he comes from several long, long lines of dragons with entire pelts and scales and wings of a pure icy color that blends right into the southern icefield. he claims to be descended from some of the most powerful in sornieth, but the authenticity of those claims is unknown. some rumors swirl around that some of those in those age-old lines were once members of some kind of strange hive that changed colors over time due to the icy exposure.

having lived in the southern icefield all his life, the hibernal behavior of other nocturnes is lost on him due to the constant cold climate being instinctively reminiscent of the climate of the winter solstice in other areas. he's constantly felt a connection to the ice and nature, and wouldn't leave the icefield for the world.

he doesn't quite remember his early childhood, but he believes he was born near the fortress of ends and was somehow left fending for himself. he didn't have much trouble, but he was lonely. and he eventually stumbled upon what was then one surprisingly nicely-carved burrow on a mountainside, inhabited by a pair of friendly tundras.

in the clan, tranquility's den space is intricately crafted of crystals, ice and rock. while not sculpted in the way claw would do, it's a magnificent feat nonetheless that feels like it was born of the mountain itself.

he often has this protective, sentinel-like urge over the clan, which baffles even him; he isn't a sentimental dragon, and it feels almost like a primal instinct. odd.
