A curse
What is a curse?
What some consider to be curses, others consider to be blessings. Cordata was cursed with more eyes than he'd like; he thought them to be a curse, and sought help to relieve him of the curse. However, he was left with more than he'd bargained for; the eyes were gone, but his form was twisted.... elongated....and slowly, but surely, turning to stone. Cracks of his fur are beginning to peel away to reveal more and more stone, the very same stone that is slowly but surely eating him from the inside.
Cordata never wanted to be like this. He just wanted a simple life as an artist; he hoped by getting rid of his extra eyes he wouldn't have to struggle viewing a canvas with sixteen other eyes vying for attention. Instead, he got limbs that are slowly but surely failing to function. His dexterity is crumbling, as is he. He is still desperately seeking a cure, before it is too late and he succumbs to his real curse.
