Trinket
The Guardian
Theme: 'From the Ground Up - Sleeping At Last'
Who Do you Love - Marianas Trench
"In an effort to remember
What being mended feels like.
We're home sweet home."
From fable to fumble, from stable to stumble, nevermore
I'll say goodbye to my demons and all my break-evens, ever yours
I, I won't come back to you broken, I won't stay away too long
Even if words I've spoken seem to still come out wrong
I'll get my ---- back together, get right where I belong

There was a time, before Trinket had found his charge, his home, in which he was reckless, foolish and abrasive. He served under the Plaguebringer for many, many years, having grown accustomed to violence. He had no recollection of family, ever. For him, his past was muddled, it was dark.
He was a leader among plague dragons. He was a champion. He was fierce and ruthless. It wasn't uncommon to see his own scales muddled with the dried blood of others. He ensured a victory above all cost. He was never one for stealth, his size too large to try and hide. He often just barrelled headfirst into any threat that was presented to him. For many years it seemed to work, until one day everything changed.
In a scat over trophies, Trinket found himself blinded, plunged into a world of darkness, he could no longer fight. His body too bulky, his senses unrefined. He lashed out, leaving the center of the plaguelands, and most of his friends behind. He was lost, in pain, something pulling him away, but no matter what he could not figure out what caused him to stray from the Plaguebringer's loving ranks. In search of his charge, but not soon realizing it, Trinket found himself nearly crash landing into a field of thick, putrid grass.
That's when he met Her. A calming peace suddenly settled over him. Whatever festering, gnawing plague that had taken roost between his scales subsided. He wasn't fleeing from his plaguelands, as he had once thought, but instead he was searching for her, Ceren, a Fae who homed another clan. She belonged to the wind, he could smell it from her. Her voice monotone, Trinket knew he had to guard her.
Though the two of them, quite polar opposites at time, they bonded, becoming mates.
Now a days, Trinket mostly lumbers around the lair, keeping care of the stray hatchlings that need a place to stay. He rarely leaves, and if then is always accompanied by a certain Fae who perches on his horns.
As an old, old dragon, he tends to sleep a lot. He spends much time letting the lair does what the lair does best, which is run itself.
