ABOUT
Another ambassador from the Clan of Ventus Corda, Mehdi actually hails from the clan’s Moondrop Travelling Carnival. His parents, Hilda and Semry, are eccentric and strange, and as such, were devastated when he told them one day that he wanted to teach.

Put simply, they loved him, but if he wasn’t going to contribute to the Carnival, he needed to go somewhere else. If he didn’t, he would never hear the end of it, so he went to Pixal to ask her advice. The longtime members of the clan all smiled and nodded, understanding completely; Many (if not most) of their clanmates had not been born there. Then and there, the young Mehdi learned that not every dragon’s path ended in the clan they were born in. The others helped him discuss possible clans to move to, but it was clear from the start that Clan Pogmatwany was always going to be where he belonged.

They took him in as they took in all those who wished to be accepted, allowing him to attend the Spire Academy to study education. Bryson acted as a big brother or cool uncle figure to him, and still does. Now, Mehdi has begun his own teaching career, teaching history and literature at the Spire mostly, but he makes an honest attempt to tutor anyone on anything they ask. He also spends his free time helping Paccaipuli curate clan history, and assists the Lightning History Curators as well whenever he gets the chance. And, rarely, he writes his own fiction. He hopes to publish one day, but is impossibly insecure about it all.
