Biography
Gienah
|| construct || assistant || companion || Give me a lever and a place to stand and I will move the world. |
|
The second construct created by primal prodigal son, Pyrmal, Gienah is a at once small and large, able to contract herself smaller when required, and able to make herself huge and intimidating if needs be. Usually she maintains a size around that of Aerea, Pyrmal's first creation, to allow them to work better together. Like Aerea, Gienah is very loyal to Pyrmal, but she has more independence and personality than Pyrmal's first attempt. Consequently she is known to tease him, mock him, clamber up his neck when he's working and crack jokes: she feels much more alive, while Aerea's nature as a construct is impossible to ignore. For the most part, Gienah gets along with most of the clan, her amiable nature and pure utility, as well as the clan's utter faith in Pyrmal's abilities, making her a valued member of the clan with little question or doubt. The only dragons likely to question Gienah's dragonhood are strangers and visitors, often put off balance by how very alive the young construct seems. The only exception to this is Bilberrios, who avoids the mechanical constructs Pyrmal works on, much preferring his attempts at creating true life from nothing. For all his existing successes, none are quite what he wants, aside from Chalice, and Pyrmal's jump from the mechanical Aerea to the much more lively Gienah in but one attempt makes Bil seethe with jealousy. Under the advisement of her creator, Gienah doesn't take it personally. |

Trivia
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮ - Name Origin: Gienah is the name given to two stars, though these days it is most commonly associated with Gamma Corvi. - Nicknames: Gigi, 'enah - Likes: Working. She loves her craftwork and helping Pyrmal and Aerea. She likes jokes and teasing and seeing those around her laughing and happy. - Dislikes: The cold, not having anything to do. - Virtue: Task-oriented and detail-focussed, and prone to getting caught deeply into a task. If she gets it into her head to work on something she will complete her chosen task. - Vice: Is independently minded to the point that sometimes she goes further off-task than Pyrmal might like. He doesn't object to her wanting to do things for herself, and 296 is very useful, but he does wish she'd warn him beforehand. ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Name: 296 ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮ 296 was found by Gienah when assisting more combat-oriented members of the clan in cleaning up after training fights; badly damaged but still sparking with lightning, Gienah grew in size enough to haul the damaged construct home. Pyrmal, she knew, was busy with his own work, repairing armour and weapons, and so, with Aerea, she decided to rebuild the damaged longmech on her own. While occasionally prone to minor malfunction - joints seizing or freezing mid-step - 296 is a much appreciated companion for Gienah, who can often be seen riding her repaired friend around the clan territories. ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ |
