The quiet one of the Runeson brothers, Modi is the only one with any considerable social skills. Somehow. Though he isn't the pretties of dragons, oftentimes considered a wee bit frightening even, he is as friendly as they come, though his rather peculiar style-choices don't quite reflect his bright personality. Unfortunately, being the most social out of the Runeson brothers doesn't mean he's much of a social genius. He can come off as rough around the edges, and finesse is a word he's never come across in his life, but he does mean well no matter that he doesn't know how to express that half the time. Kindness isn't something he shies away from, unlike the rest of his emotionally stunted siblings, and Modi at least grasps the basic concepts of manners and etiquette. And he's the only one of the brothers regularly seen hanging out with the other dragons of Valhall once in a while. ______HE WHO WANTS THE WORLD
After he left home to see the world alongside his brother, something in him shifted irreversibly, and Modi got a taste for change. Seeing new things, meeting new dragons, experiencing all life could offer-- it was like a drug to him, too sweet to ignore, and Modi never did grow weary of the life of a traveller in the same way Magni did.
But even with the taste of freedom on his tongue, Modi saw the benefits of settling down somewhere. They'd been on the road, or perhaps on the run, for years upon years by then. He loved it, it was true, but there was value in having a bed to return to whenever the urge hit. And though he'd been hesitant at first, when Magni told him rather brusquely that they were joining a clan, he went along with it. Fighting with his brother had never gotten him anywhere.
The fears about it all only lasted up until the point he realized he could have both a life of adventure and a stable home.
He didn't have to pick one or the other.
And best of all, he didn't even have to spend all his precious time thinking. As one of the Scouts, they'd tell him where to go and what to do, and Modi could dedicate himself to enjoying the adventure for what it was. Following orders was something he was good at, after all, and there was comfort in knowing it wasn't his responsibility to figure everything out.

M A G N I For many years, Magni was his entire world. And Modi knows it surely looks terrible to an outsider, especially taking into consideration how brash Magni can be, but their years of travel weren't bad ones. No, far from it, and Modi fondly looks back on their countless adventures. In many ways, Magni raised him, and Modi is forever grateful for how his brother went ahead and beyond for him. Not every brother would. |

K J A L A R Kjalar was the brother none of them really knew all that well. And Modi struggled for quite some time to make up his mind about him, as it was clear he was the odd one out-- yet Modi found himself enjoying Kjalar's absolutely dreadful attitude. Already so used to Magni's biting remarks, Modi found himself in Kjalar's reluctant company often, and he can be seen hanging around Kjalar's awkward storefront on his days off. |
