Wandering was what Efette did best. Born amongst all the green things, she knew little of the world beyond the trees. But she always wanted to. Despite endless warnings from her clan, she travelled beyond the lush lands she was familiar with. Long days pass, and her journal quickly fills. Stories from other dragons, sketches of the strange creatures she spotted in the night. Never did she once regret leaving her leafy cocoon.
Eventually, Efette found herself in the realm of the Shadowbinder. She was painfully bright against the gloom of the Tangled Wood. Little did she know that this is where she would finally put down roots. The invitation came in the form of an elegant, witty pearlcatcher. He was charming, friendly despite his murky coloring. All it too was an invitation and offered claw for Efette to find her new home.
The colorful coatl found herself among an equally strange bunch. Dragons from all flights had to come roost there, making a home in the comforting dusk of the Shadowbinder. Somehow, either through age and experience, or her odd charisma, other clan members began looking to Efette for leadership, for answers. She took it all in stride. Now a trusted member of the clan's inner circle, she has seen clan members come and go, some to other flights and others to serve the Shadowbinder herself. She's helped raise dozens of hatchlings. It does take a village, after all. And now, well... now Efette is Home, with her first shadowy friend, and the only dragon she ever could love.
