Creator: Halamshiral (previously Astriferious)
Level 25
General lore: This subspecies specializes in Seeing/Clairvoyance/Future Sight, most use languages too foreign or simply too archaic to be used in today’s speech. Some will be wracked with views of death and doomsaying, or some will use their gift to shift the outcome of battles. These dragons are rumored to be descendants of the great golden idol and often find a manticore in their presence. These dragons can be found near-exclusively in the light influences of Sornieth, but can appear in almost any flight, though the difference in flight can also chalk up to the lack of understanding some flight languages. Habits: Exclusively awake during the day, some shadow flight Gilded Glories can stay up at the latest to the sun’s last glimmer. As I've previously stated, Gilded Glories are either Solemn, Silent and Reclusive or are very Direct, Hastily warning everyone they see. Most traits would note that at the least, Gilded Glories are often reduced to thinking excessively. It is very rare to see a Glory that has fully mastered the Common Tongue and can perhaps explain what they see. Diet/Hunting: Most Glories try to stray away from eating meat if all possible, blood tends to bring up unfriendly visions for them. But if they have no choice, none will turn a duskrat down. They tend to hunt in triads or even larger groups ranging up to 10 individuals; hearing murmurs of garbled speech between these groups is especially not unheard of. Glories do tend to associate with others of their subspecies quite easily due to the nature of their language. Combat: The Gilded Glories often try to avoid direct physical combat, many rely on tactical supporter spells and magical spells in order to help their allies. They are invaluable supporters in combat. The most astounding things about Light Gilded Glories is that when they smile, their mane lights up and little freckles of sunlight seem to dapple their skin. The lore shrouding the first ever Gilded Glory begins like this, once there was a dragon, we can never be sure what breed he was but I’m most certain he was a fae. This poor fae had been sick and tormented with visions he could never be able to voice properly, day in, day out, the dreams of death plagued this dragon. He had eventually become so sick that all he could do is tend to the Great Dais which sits in attending with the highest point in the Mirrorlight Promenade; This fae had resigned his fate and sat upon the Great Dais and dedicated himself to singing praises to the Lightweaver until his very end. Through this dedication the Lightweaver graced him into a statue of gold to sit at the Great Dais to forever be a testimony of his dedication. The only sure way to tell the age of a Gilded Glory is to note how faded their colors are, if a Gilded Glory is brightly shining with a gorgeous glint then it must be new as the day is old. To find an elder Gilded Glory would be to see the worn and weary look that they have. Hatchery/Breeders:@QueenEvaine @Deluxe @Monovibrant, @Cewientje @PhoebeBird |
